The culmination of 12 years of planning, this new, high tech school now represents the next generation of the original 91 year old school. Large, flex-space classrooms adapt to various teaching methods for this kindergarten to 8th grade. The lowest level of the facility has been designed to accommodate (including rough-ins) for a future full court basketball court, multipurpose room, commercial kitchen, and Chapel, as funding becomes available. Josehart met the challenge of building in a tight urban setting, next to 16 story high-rise lot line to lot line with 6 feet separating each. The $17 million project is a 5 story, 50,000 SF building with 9 classrooms; rooftop basketball court; 2nd floor play yard; science labs; media/library center, and Teahouse.
